Prophetic Warning: False Confidence in Christians & The World

Today my heart is hurting as I am writing this message but I am compelled by the Spirit to speak it to you so that you may be warned. Starting in late May, God blessed me with two very different experiences: (1) a moment where I was able to understand a small snippet of the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus experienced as well as (2) a moment where I experienced a period of time that was meant to give insight into what it would be like for those who are separated for all of eternity.

This morning, as my wife and I were praying, God showed me a vision of what it would be like on the day of the LORD (which is soon & knocking on the door as I type this message) for those who believe they are walking right with God today but will be eternally separated on that day. We were praying for the people of God that those who are far from Him but are meant to live would be drawn closer in these days and also for those who believe they know him but do not have their lamps filled with oil for the wedding feast that God would bring them closer in this season.

I am going to explain the two different moments where the Holy Spirit manifested the aforementioned blessings to do my best to explain and warn those who are reading this. May the Holy Spirit pierce the hearts of those this message is meant to touch that God’s full deliverance would be granted for the glory of His Kingdom. I ask this in Jesus’ name – Amen.

Part 1: The Holy Spirit Splits a Ravaging Storm – May 27, 2020

God showed me a snippet of the power of following the example of Jesus Christ by being led fully by the Spirit and praying in the Spirit. I was able to experience a small piece of the power of God as were the dozens of others who were at the farm that day.

As we were building the dome greenhouse for the farm, we had an installation crew that was from out of town and we were nearing the end of their stay. The crew that was helping build the dome from out of town arrived at the farm (it was one of their final days before leaving and we needed to get it done), but there were a series of storms that threatened our ability to continue construction on the project that God has ordained.

The clouds and winds were lined up, were producing hail and even produced a tornado or two in the state, and were headed directly for our farm. I felt the still small voice of the Holy Spirit tell me to go out into the field and speak to the clouds. This was the first time anything like this had happened, it was in view of dozens of people, but nevertheless, I did as the Holy Spirit asked of me.

As I walked out there, the Holy Spirit began to give me discernment of the clouds, some were coming simply to give a parched land some water. The Holy Spirit speaking through me, thanked the clouds for their rain, and instructed them to only drop as much as was needed but not to impede on any of our work, nor to send any lightning or hail or high winds our way. This took place, there was very little rain, just enough to cool us off and give the ground a small drink before it passed. That same line of storms produced 60 mph winds that ravaged some neighborhoods on the north side of Columbus just a few minutes later.

As the next line of storms came, I perceived by the power of the Holy Spirit that there were some among the clouds that were sent from the enemy and so the Spirit spoke commands to these clouds through me and gave explicit instructions to not allow any lightning to come with 15 miles of us and to completely move around our property. As the storm came to the property, it split around our farm. This was the same storm that produced tornado warnings and a few tornadoes around the surrounding area, yet it did not touch our area.

Those who were around our camp said had said that there was no way that this next storm would miss us and that we needed to pack up. I felt the Holy Spirit say to them to have faith and watch what God is able to do. To understand the context, these storms produced 21 tornadoes throughout the rest of the state but did not touch us at all, even though they were supposed to come right on top of us. This same line of storms split around us and we continued our work.

When something like this happens, you have a deep knowing that the power of God is real and that God is able to do anything that God wants, whenever God wants. It’s tough to put into words but it was literally a splitting of storms that ravaged the rest of the state.

Part 2: Experiencing Separation from God for Only 4 Hours

A few weeks later the polar opposite took place. I was working on finishing up some pieces of the dome for the farm project, now working at the farm completely on my own, with no one else around as it was the weekend. God had instructed me to go to the farm that day to finish the greenhouse.

I went there that day and it was HOT, like 115 degrees it must’ve been inside the greenhouse, the equipment kept failing, none of the tarps that I was working on covering the dome with fit at all, my own tools kept failing, there was no water, there was no wind, it was just hot.

In the past, when these things had happened, I would pray in the Spirit and God would send something to bring relief. However, today – I was not able to pray in the Spirit while I was there, I pleaded with God for help because I wanted to do what He had asked but I wasn’t able to communicate with God.

I wasn’t sure why this was taking place. God was not answering my prayers, there was no help, just the blazing sun beating down on top of me, the heat exhaustion from working, the tools failing and literally nothing working.

After a few hours of trying to do this work in my own strength, I finally completely broke down. It was the most helpless, devastating, lost, confused, broken, and empty feeling that I could ever experience. Going from knowing without a shadow of a doubt that God exists and his power is awesome, to being in miserable conditions and praying but not having my prayers be answered.

All alone, separated from God’s glory. Finally, after encouragement from my wife to pray again because she discerned that God was in it as she prayed, I sat down, completely distraught, and defeated and I cried out to God.

I felt the same still small voice of the Spirit that had just parted storms weeks earlier say to me, “This is what it will be like for those who are eternally separated from me.” God went on to say other things as well, but the gist of it is this: there are millions of people right now, both those who don’t believe God exists and those who do believe that God exists, some of which believe they are right with God that will have to experience what I experienced for 4 hours, for all of eternity.

It was the scariest moment of my entire life, what were 4 hours felt like 4 days. It was completely helpless. The best way to explain it in a way that may make sense is like this: Imagine you were thirsty, and right in front of your eyes there is a drinking fountain, you’re in the midst of the heat of the desert at the noon-day sun in the middle of the heat of the summer, and when you go up to the fountain, you go to turn it on for a drink, but nothing comes out of it. You are just stuck, with nothing to satisfy your thirst, totally parched. Nothing to block you from the heat or the sun – totally unprotected, with nowhere else to turn.

The Prophetic Warning from God This Morning:

While we were praying this morning, God showed me as Lindsey was praying people who are a part of the church (Ekklesia, the assembly of God), who believe they are doing what they need to do to be right with God, but on that day will be left out of heaven. I saw people begging and crying and totally distraught, begging to be relieved and let into the Kingdom of Heaven, but being turned down.

Even worse, there are millions of people right now, who don’t think this message is about them because they go to (or stream live) church every Sunday, they tithe, they post Bible verses on Instagram and Pinterest. You exclaim to yourself and to others that you love Jesus but your heart is far from God. You profess your belief in God but you deny the power of God by partaking of the world’s system of self-preservation, social norms, success, self-glory. There is no preservation apart from God. Only God preserves, only God provides, only God gets the glory.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 4:8

Ask yourself, and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in prayer, as to whether or not your heart is divided between the things of this world and the things of the Kingdom. In this time, believers simply cannot be straddling a line, with one foot in the world, and one foot in the Kingdom. If we truly are to be the Ekklesia, we must have undivided, singular focus on the Kingdom and the Truth found in the Word. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand–and in order to endure the upcoming tests, trials, and tribulations as a part of the coming judgment, you must have two feet firmly planted on the side of the Kingdom in order to stand firm and endure until the end. What does this mean? It means, forsake the things of this world, forsake your own desires, die to yourself (your ego), consider your ways, and examine whether you are being a doer of the Word and not just a hearer. Is your life in full alignment with the Truth found in the Word?

Do you plead the cause of the fatherless, assist the widow, give the shirt off your back to your brother who is in need?

When is the last time you did anything for anyone other than yourself and your family and friends?

What do your prayers sound like? Are you praying to ask God to do things for you? To advance yourself? To bring yourself glory? Are you praying mostly about yourself and the ones you know and love? Or are you standing in the breach, interceding on behalf of all people, animals, and created things? Are you praying what you want to pray, or are you allowing the Holy Spirit to direct your prayers?

Do you make plans (even small decisions like trips to the grocery store) without first seeking God’s will and asking the Holy Spirit to direct the steps of your path? Are the words you speak tempered by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit, or do you just say what you feel like saying?

Are you driven by what you feel? Or are you guided and grounded upon what you know to be true about who God is and who He says you are? Do you stand on the Truth of God’s promises found in the Word? Emotions are misleading and easily toyed with by the fiery arrows of the enemy. Emotions are also self-serving. You might feel certain emotions, but we are taught in the Word that we are to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ Jesus, to the glory of God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Are you doing all things in love? Does your life and your inward self reflect the fruits of the Holy Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control)? The works of the flesh are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, drunkenness, revelries, and the like (Galatians 5:19-26). If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit, making our lives a living example to other people (not in what we say, but in what we do), in order to bring glory to the One True God. We must ensure we are embodying the fruits of the Spirit and not doing righteous deeds/living righteous lives in order to receive the blessing and the promise associated with them. This means we must be living in the Truth because of who God is, not what He can and will do for you–and certainly not because we want to get into Heaven. Stop focusing on the past, stop pondering the future. All we have is today.

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God, with all your heart, all your soul, and with all your mind.”

Matthew 22:37

You have to know the Word of God, found in the Bible, more than anything else you consume. Do you spend an equal or greater amount of time in the Word or in the presence of God through prayer than you do on any other thing you devote your time to in a single day?

This is not the time for sideline Christians who like to hear and watch, but do not wish to do. Would you stand firm and put your life on the line for the Truth? Would you die for your faith? Do not be deceived and have a false sense of confidence about this. It is of the utmost importance. Those who seek to save their lives will lose them. But those who lose their lives for the sake of Christ will find eternal life.

We need the ekklesia (not an organized religion, but those who know and love God) to rise up, stand firm, and speak Truth in this time, but first, we need to make sure our inner selves are in alignment with who God is and what the Word says. We need to have hearts that are fully focused on God the Father. We need to make sure that meeting with God or reading the Word is not a “chore” or a box you check off on a checklist, but something you delight in and are eager to do because you love and respect your Heavenly Father and want to be firmly rooted in faith.

Is your faith a hobby or something you enjoy from time to time?

Is your faith reflected by who you are and, thus, the entirety of how you live?

Your faith must, and I mean MUST, be your entire life and way of living. It must direct you and counsel you in all things. Your faith must be the determining factor in who you are, what you think, and what you know.

Again, your faith must be the determining factor and guidepost of all your choices. Your True North.

We cannot control anything that happens in life with the exception our own choices. And choices are everything. Are you determining your choices for yourself, or listening to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all things? Do you view your choices as out of your control, something that just happens to you? Do you determine what your choices will be, or does the Word of God determine what you should and then what you actually choose to do in any given moment?

I implore you to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance on this. What I experienced for 4 hours and tried to explain to you above is something that I would not wish on the worst of the worst, not even someone who had intentionally wronged me for my entire life in order to harm me. I wouldn’t wish what I experienced on anyone and I’m begging you now to please get with the Holy Spirit and seek the Spirit’s guidance.

It is only through full submission to the Holy Spirit and walking in the way and truth that Jesus Christ lived before us that we are able to walk the narrow path to our salvation. We are saved by faith in Christ, but we are called to be sanctified just as Christ was sanctified and this sanctification can only come by full submission to the Truth found in the Word of God through the leadership of the Spirit of Truth (the Holy Spirit).

Please, I beg you to take this seriously as the time is nearing, and depending on when you are reading this, is about to happen, in which you will no longer be able to be sealed by the Holy Spirit’s promise and will be eternally separated. Please. Please take this seriously. My heart hurts just thinking about what this will be like for those who refuse to listen to the Spirit of God. Please, don’t be one of them. Please.

If you have not yet given your life over to God, but this article has brought you to that place, I encourage you to make that decision today. The harvest is ripe but the workers are few, we need your help.

If this is a decision you’re ready to make today, all you need to do is start with this simple prayer:

“God in heaven, I need you.

I repent of doing things my own way and ask that you would forgive me today.

I believe that your son Jesus died, and he rose from the grave, for the forgiveness of my sins and I ask that you would cover me with the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of my sins.

Today, I am committing the rest of my life to following your way, that you revealed through your son Jesus. Father please come into my life, renew my spirit, and teach me your ways so that I may walk with you in relationship. Please Father, through my repentance, I ask that you would count me worthy to receive your Holy Spirit so that I can be led fully by you.

Holy Spirit, please direct the steps of my path and lead me into all truth.

Not only for the promise of eternal salvation, but to bring your Kingdom glory on earth through my life which you have given me.

Thank you Father for creating a way, thank you for your love.

I ask this of you in Jesus’ name – Amen.”

If you prayed that prayer today, please send us a note below. We’d like to rejoice with you, pray for you, and see if there is anything that I can do to help you on your journey.

God Bless!
